15" Foam-wrapped duster with hardwood handle and leather strap (7" head with 8" handle). Foam is wrapped around the feather stems before the metal coil wire is secured which holds the feathers in extra tight. Made with genuine black floss (Soft) ostrich feathers. Black feathers are unique, softer feathers (compared to the gray "drab" feathers) and are more "stringy" in nature and are exclusive to the mature ostrich male birds. There are about 4 female birds to every one male bird.
